We re-open on Monday 9 November, seven days a week, for lunch and supper and in our bedrooms, but only for those in Wales until at least 3 December.

Under the newest set of rules, Four is the magic number, more if you are all from the same household.  For more on our Covid approach, click here.

We have re-opened in a way that we think is safe for both our guests and our teams but which is designed to retain everything that is special about The Griffin.

We'll also continue to be mindful of our local community who support us right through the year.  We know though that many of them were delighted to see us to open our doors again.

As we move through the early Autumn, we'll tweak how we operate, particularly as the evenings get shorter and the opportunity to use the garden becomes more marginal.

A Winter Escape

From late October

Our Winter Escape was, by design, aimed at those making a last minute decision to take a break from the grimness of Winter.  So it feels a bit odd to promote it in midsummer.

But the Covid lockdown is encouraging many of us to plan far ahead and it seems miserly of us not to make you aware of it now.  Just one night (or more) that can feel like a real break.

From £175 a couple for up to three courses at supper from anywhere on our evening menu, your room and breakfast: Sunday to Thursday and outside of holidays and half terms

Sunday Sleepover

Kick back with us for Sunday lunch, the papers and maybe an afternoon walk.  Then supper, a good night's sleep and a great breakfast on Monday morning.

From just £212.50 for two people (principally when the clocks are on GMT), and a little more when the Winter Escape is not in place.

To check availability for any of our offers or to book a table, do drop us an email here.

Into Autumn

We're now taking bookings for the rest of the Autumn and the Winter.  We will be closed between 23 October and 8 November for the Welsh Government's firebreak but will re-open from Monday 9 November.

We had been asking guests to stay a minimum of two nights while our team is asked to do more to maintain a clean and safe site.  However, there will always be the odd one night gap we want to fill, so feel free to ask.

Autumn is a pretty good time to visit the Beacons, with the roads a little emptier, the weather often settled and that reassuring early Autumn smell in the air.

We now even send them to you in a little pack that you can give to the lucky recipient.  An improvement on our previous Blue Peter efforts.
